Herb botany coloring book for kids 10 to 15: 84 pages, a printable PDF in US Letter and A4. 36 herbs and aromatic plants, each with a fact page and a page to color. ⭐ Welcome to Guaycura Creations! "Medicinal Herbs & Aromatic Flora" is a herb botany coloring book for curious kids about 10 to 15: 36 herbs, spices and aromatic plants from every continent except Antarctica, each on a two-page spread. The left page is a short botanical study of the plant; the right page is a large drawing of it to color. It works as a ready-made botany unit for homeschool families, and as a calm, screen-free science book for anyone who likes herbs, gardens, cooking and drawing. It is the third book in our botany series, after "The Science & Beauty of Flowers" and "Orchard & Vine Fruits of the World". 🌿 WHAT'S INSIDE (84 pages) • How to use this book, with a contents page. • What makes a herb a herb? Herbs, spices and aromatic plants, and how one plant can be both. • How plants make scent: a labelled drawing of a leaf with its oil glands and leaf hairs (trichomes), then the same drawing blank for your child to label. • The mint family: square stems, leaves in pairs and two-lipped flowers. • Parts we use: leaves, flowers, flower buds, stigmas, seeds, roots, rhizomes and bark. • 36 herb spreads. Each fact page gives the common and scientific name, the family, where it grows wild and the part people use; 5 or 6 facts in plain words; two small close-up drawings (an oil gland, a seed, a flower); and a color guide naming the real colors of the living plant, with a colored dot beside each color (where a color could not be checked, it asks your child to match a photo). • Glossary, answers, and notes for parents and teachers.
